Summertime and the 4th of July are times for great celebration. In Eugene, Oregon, runners and walkers celebrate Independence Day by taking to the streets for the annual Butte to Butte 10k run and 4.5 mile walk. In its three decades, Butte to Butte has become a challenging and rewarding Eugene tradition. The 250 foot climb of the first mile is rewarded by stunning views on the descent toward the finish line. In 2008, over 6000 runners and walkers enjoyed electronic timing using the IPICO Sport Tag.
